For 365 days, The Franklins (Melissa-24, Joey-25, Callan-2 years) lived in the coastal town of Marugame on the island of Shikoku in the Japanese Archapelago. Oh. Wow. It made me feel like swearing just to look at that beautiful crust. OH WELL. I can't make them, but I bred someone who can. That's something I suppose. SEND ME THE RECIPIE...MAYBE THERE'S HOPE. (Gentle Readers: I learned to swear while making pie crusts. I have managed to stop swearing or successfully make pie crusts since.)
