These guys really play for the love of the game. After the fifth inning, all the players grabbed rakes and gave the infield a once over, and inbetween other innings, the bench warmers had to endure the humiliation of walking the length of the infield after each inning, holding large sponsor advertisements for the crowd to see. There uniforms boasted a total of five different sponsor patches, three on their chest, one on their backs, and one on their hats. At one point an NHK videographer showed up and took some video, not of the game, but of the fans. I wonder if the players get paid at all.
