This gourd is still attached to the vine, but is supportd by wooden box. Mr. Ono told me that they dry the gourds out and polish them up and give them as decoration.

For 365 days, The Franklins (Melissa-24, Joey-25, Callan-2 years) lived in the coastal town of Marugame on the island of Shikoku in the Japanese Archapelago.
